She has to use her vision constantly so that she doesn't melt like a little ice cube. ![]() They hadn't been 10 minutes in the rainforest and Qiqi feels like she's been put into a rice cooker. She would be the biggest liar in Teyvat if she said that she doesn't want to and doesn't care about meeting her soulmate, but when she sprints away into the city from her employer without sparing words or glances she keeps telling herself that she simply wants to put an end to the torturous feeling of anxiety. It's constantly moving and now, if Dehya is focused enough, she can even feel the slightest trembles and vibrations around her finger. Throughout the day, as much as she's fighting it in order to focus on another job that should bring her quick and big cash, there's a steadily growing feeling of anticipation. Moved and felt tighter, she was almost ready to believe that she's seeing things or it's a hangover making itself known, even from three days ago. But when she notices that one fine morning her string somehow. Because as much as there were things that she desperately wanted to run after, there were lots of things she couldn't and didn't want to run from.ĭehya prides herself on being observant. Not even for someone who could change her life. And escape from the only life she's ever known into a journey far beyond the greenery that stretched for miles was not something she thought she could ever afford. She learned that nothing in this world is free. With time Dehya learned that the wall wasn't her only and certainly not her biggest limit in life. An elegant purple, like the most gorgeous padisarah she's ever dreamt of), her soulmate felt as far away as ever. ![]() And even though now Dehya could put a name and a comparison to the beautiful, enchanting colours that wove around the familiar cutthroat scarlets and yellows(a magically gentle blue, like the reflection of sky in the crystal clear water. Life was still not easy on the other side of the wall. Though, in a world that she lived in, she could only hold onto that thought for so long. Out into the world that didn't want her and didn't welcome her, into the world where somewhere there was a someone that was supposed to make her life more full and complete. And her hate only accelerated every time she would look at the string attached to her finger, going past the wall. For as long as she can remember she always wanted nothing more than to take her claymore and smash the ever looming reminder that it wasn't put there just to protect the lush and vibrant rainforests from the deadly unforgiving desert. She doesn't want it to be sealed away again.ĭehya always hated the wall. ![]() Because there's someone out there for Qiqi. They do say that it's hot and humid there and just because the string is stretching in the direction of the dendro archon's land doesn't guarantee that her soulmate will be there at all, but Qiqi does consider it. So when the traveler, as usual, brings her an odd and spontaneous(just like themselves) offer to travel with them to Sumeru city, Qiqi considers it. There's someone out there for Qiqi, doesn't even matter if it's someone from this life or another, long lost and forgotten and sealed away. ![]() But even if she didn't actively think about it, there was always a lingering thought. And for a very long time she didn't actively think about it, didn't think about the bold reds and golds weaving around the familiar sickly purples and blues. Whether it was the same as before she would never be able to remember. Maybe it was Qiqi's unique nature as a zombie or the magic of adepti that brought her back to life, but her string was there after her revival.
